Traffic enforcement: What’s your purpose?
October 23, 2024
At National Police Week on May 14th and 16th, children, step-children and siblings who have lost a parent or sibling to a line-of-duty death can participate in special activities. Children and Siblings of the fallen officer must be pre-registered to attend these programs. There is no on-site registration. Once registered, parents/guardians of the attendee will receive detailed information on the program.
Surviving children, step-children and siblings infant through preschool (up to age 6) can attend the C.O.P.S. Day Care Program while adults are in seminar sessions. This service is provided exclusively to the surviving children, step-children and siblings, of the fallen officer during Conference hours only. Children at daycare will be fed lunch on both days. After registration information is received at the C.O.P.S. National Office, a request for additional paperwork on the child(ren) will be sent to the parent/guardian and must be completed and returned in order for the children to participate. Children must be pre-registered.
