In early November, the officers responded to a call regarding a young female in distress. Upon arriving, they heard her calls from the water after she had jumped into the Hudson River. Officer Guerrero immediately entered the river and brought her to shore. With the assistance of Officers Gupta and Amine, the officers removed her from the water and ensured she was transported to a hospital for further support.
“These officers are heroes, and their actions serve to highlight the countless acts of valor which often go unnoticed and without the recognition or fanfare such acts deserve,” NLEOMF CEO William Alexander said. “We are humbled and proud to honor Officers Gupta, Guerrero and Amine as our Officers of the Month for November 2025.”
The Officer of the Month Award Program is sponsored by the Police Unity Tour and recognizes federal, state and local officers who distinguish themselves through exemplary law enforcement service and devotion to duty.
