Authorities in Boerne, Texas, were recently called in to deal with an unusual problem: a kangaroo on the loose.
The Kendall County Sheriff’s Office posted on Facebook that they captured the marsupial. Deputies were dispatched to the area of the North Exchange to capture the pet kangaroo.
Deputies and bystanders were able to capture the roo and sent him back to his owner.
The sheriff’s office also posted photos of the kangaroo, which received lots of comments and loving emojis.
Oddly enough, this isn’t the first time police officers have had to nab a run-away kangaroo in the past few years.
In 2020, police in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. responded to a call of an escaped kangaroo. They eventually found him hopping down the street a few blocks from the house and returned him in their squad car.
Most recently, in Yates County earlier this year, deputies captured a baby kangaroo who had escaped from a family’s farm and returned him to his owner.
