The National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund (NLEOMF) on May 6 announced a special partnership with Mooresville, North Carolina–based NASCAR Cup Series team Spire Motorsports and Premier Security Solutions, a leading provider of comprehensive security services, to display NLEOMF’s logo on both Spire’s No. 77 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 and on the suit that driver Carson Hocevar will be wearing during the race. This will be featured during the Goodyear 400 race at Darlington Raceway on May 12.
Spire Motorsports and Premier Security Solutions will collaborate on various initiatives leading up to the race at Darlington Raceway, including the creation of a special NLEOMF paint scheme on Hocevar’s old-school patrol car design, featuring the organization’s logo. This special callout is in honor of National Police Week and the 282 officers killed in the line of duty in 2023 and previous years whose names were added to the walls of the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial this year. These fallen officers’ names will be read aloud during the Candlelight Vigil at the National Mall in Washington, D.C., on May 13, one of the many events in recognition of National Police Week held each May.
“We are honored to partner with Spire Motorsports and Premier Security Solutions in honoring the fallen, telling the story of American law enforcement and making it safer for those who serve,” NLEOMF CEO Bill Alexander said. “This collaboration represents a powerful alliance, uniting our shared commitment to honoring the sacrifices of those who serve and protect. We appreciate Carson showing his support of NLEOMF and wish him well on race day.”
The race begins at 3 p.m. ET at the Darlington Raceway in Darlington, South Carolina. Through a partnership with Darlington Raceway, NASCAR and NLEOMF, law enforcement personnel, first responders, public safety, corrections, friends, family and the general public can reserve exclusive discounted ticketsstarting at $52. Proceeds from each ticket sold includes a donation back to NLEOMF to help with the work the organization carries out on a daily basis for the law enforcement community across the country.
“Having the opportunity to partner with the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund and further the awareness of the fallen officers throughout the United States, through our involvement with Spire Motorsports’ NASCAR Cup Series team and the Premier Security No. 77 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1, driven by Carson Hocevar, is so overwhelming,” said Dave Forystek, CEO and founder of Premier Security Solutions. “Having participated in the events that unfold every May in our nation’s capital to honor these men and women who have given their lives for their communities just seemed natural to me. Law enforcement is a vocation that is on its third generation in my family. I’m proud to say that, collectively, we’ve dedicated over 60 years to the citizens of Flint, Michigan.”
Carson Hocevar, the talented young driver behind Spire Motorsports’ No. 77 car, has quickly made a name for himself in the NASCAR Cup Series. The Portage, Michigan, native made his NASCAR Cup Series debut for Spire Motorsports on June 4, 2023, and since then has gone on to notable success, including his fourth and most recent win in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series at Homestead-Miami Speedway in October 2023.
Ahead of the race in Darlington, Hocevar took the time to visit the National Law Enforcement Museum and the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial on April 26. This experience allowed him to pay respects to the fallen officers, gain a deeper understanding of their sacrifices and learn of the incredible story of American law enforcement’s past, present and future in the museum, which engages visitors of all ages in memorable, immersive and experiential exhibits, further inspiring his commitment to this important cause.
“To be a part of this with a longtime sponsor, supporting something that means so much to not only Dave Forystek but also myself and my family, I couldn’t be more excited,” said Spire’s No. 77 driver Carson Hocevar. “Being able to honor those who have fallen with this sponsorship and a great organization my rookie year is something I will never forget.”
