Reminder: Apply now for the 2026 Destination Zero Awards

National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund Published March 14, 2026 @ 6:00 am PDT

Does your agency have an innovative officer safety or officer wellness program to improve the well-being of their officers? Nominations for the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund 2026 Destination Zero Awards are open until April 1, 2026!

The Destination Zero National Officer Safety and Wellness Awards provide a remarkable platform for recognition and growth in the commitment to officer safety and wellness. By participating, agencies can showcase their innovative safety strategies and wellness programs at a national level, gaining recognition and setting a standard for excellence. Those agencies with outstanding programs that have proven to be beneficial will be acknowledged at an award ceremony during National Police Weekend in October in Washington, D.C.

Additionally, the awards ceremony offers an opportunity to share best practices and collaborate with other agencies. Through this program, agencies can access a wide array of resources and support, further enhancing their efforts to protect and promote the well-being of their officers. NLEOMF seeks full details on such programs, including copies of posters, policies, toolkits and any data that shows the success of that particular plan. Please submit information to destinationzero@nleomf.org, or call (202) 737-3400.

For more information and to nominate a program, visit https://nleomf.org/officer-safety-and-wellness/destination-zero/nominate-your-program. Don’t delay — time is running out!

National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund

National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund

Established in 1984, the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund (NLEOMF) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to honoring the fallen, telling the story of American law enforcement and making it safer for those who serve. The first pillar of this mission, the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial in Washington, D.C., honors the names of all of the 24,412 (and counting) officers who have died in the line of duty to date throughout U.S. history. Additionally, NLEOMF maintains and publishes comprehensive details on the circumstances surrounding official line-of-duty deaths. The Officer Safety and Wellness pillar uses that data, coupled with best-practice program models, to produce programming directed at solutions to improve survivability and enhance wellness. NLEOMF’s third pillar, the National Law Enforcement Museum (LawEnforcementMuseum.org) is committed to preserving the history of American law enforcement and sharing the experiences of service and sacrifice for generations to come.
