You like Jordans or nah?” That casual question from a Sandy Springs, Georgia, police officer caught on body camera has stirred up a strong response.
The unnamed officer is seen and heard offering a pair of Jordan sneakers from the trunk of his patrol vehicle to a young homeless man he encountered in a parking lot. The recipient responded with a wish to pay the kindness forward when he got back on his feet. When members of the Sandy Springs Police Department saw the video, they quickly posted it to social media, writing, “Moments like this don’t make headlines every day, but they matter. It’s not about the spotlight. It’s about showing up for people when it counts.”
And the public agreed, with numerous individuals posting personal tales of how law enforcement professionals made a positive impact in their own lives.
