Det. Kim L. Nelson-Edwards retired in 2018 after 23 years with the Montclair Police Department. She worked in the Community Policing Bureau, was a field training officer and was the only female assigned to the Motorcycle Unit. She served as a school resource officer at Montclair High School for 17 years. She works closely with the National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives (NOBLE) and trains for Insight Policing: Conflict Resolution for Law Enforcement (www.insightpolicing.com).
