“Jim and the MediaSolv team have built something greatly admired by their customers,” said Rick Smith, CEO and founder of TASER. “Together, we will accelerate our efforts to deliver the leading solution for end-to-end digital evidence management for law enforcement. And we share a passion for our customers that is really unique.”

The acquisition will expand TASER’s investment in digital evidence management, providing new and old customers with a cloud-connected pathway for data including CCTV, in-car video, interview room video, digital images, and more. The platform provides law enforcement officials comprehensive tools for managing all of their digital evidence in an efficient and cost-effective manner.

“MediaSolv and TASER are both committed to solving the big challenges agencies face managing their digital evidence,” noted Jim Weaver, the president and CEO of MediaSolv. “And we are very excited to be part of the TASER team.”

The plan is to connect MediaSolv’s product line to TASER’s Axon and EVIDENCE.com platform, streamlining the path that digital evidence takes from capture to courtroom. MediaSolv’s existing customers will gain enhanced management, storage and sharing capabilities through the EVIDENCE.com platform; TASER’s existing products and services will be enhanced and expanded through the acquisition.

Current customers include the Chicago PD, the Philadelphia PD, and Toronto Police Services, among others. MediaSolv and TASER combined are now serving twenty-three major law enforcement agencies on their digital platforms.

The acquisition will expand TASER’s investment in digital evidence management, providing new and old customers with a cloud-connected pathway for data including CCTV, in-car video, interview room video, digital images, and more. The platform provides law enforcement officials comprehensive tools for managing all of their digital evidence in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
forward to welcoming the MediaSolv team to TASER.”
