LION creates new business units to enhance customer experience, drive growth

LION Safety Solutions and LION Identity and Protection Systems to launch October 1

LION Published September 28, 2024 @ 6:00 am PDT

On September 4, LION, the largest family-owned manufacturer of first responder personal protective equipment (PPE), training products, PPE care and maintenance and uniforms in the world, announced a change to its operational structure.

Effective October 1, two business units will be responsible for the Americas market: LION Safety Solutions and LION Identity and Protection Systems.

LION Safety Solutions will be a new business unit dedicated solely to LION Training Products/Training Solutions and LION TotalCare product lines. This business unit will have its own dedicated sales and marketing, product management, research and development and operations functions.

The LION Identity and Protection Systems business unit will be dedicated solely to LION’s PPE, PPE essentials, and NFPA-certified and non-certified Elbeco uniform product lines. This business unit will also continue to have dedicated field sales and marketing, product management, research and development, and operations functions separate from those dedicated to LION Training Products/Training Solutions and LION TotalCare.

“I am confident by creating these two business units, we will create the dedicated focus and resources that ensure we continue to innovate and deliver the best LION products, services, solutions and world-class customer experience to the industries we serve,” said Steve Schwartz, fourth-generation family co-owner and CEO of LION. “We look forward to building on our long history as one LION team while bringing additional value to our customers, our distributor partners and our suppliers.”
