May 7 at 8:00 am - May 9 at 12:00 pm

Join us for a dynamic three-day event packed full of presentations, panel discussions, keynote speakers, and networking as we work to enhance the capabilities of those who protect our homeland. This conference presents an opportunity to choose from 30 breakout sessions, visit over 40 vendors, and to collaborate with more than 1,000 professionals across multiple disciplines including, emergency management, law enforcement, fire, schools, and community health.

This year, an outstanding lineup of keynote speakers is ready to share their expertise with attendees. Those speakers include:

  • Michigan State University Police and Public Safety, Capt. Dave Oslund and Natisha Foster
  • Sycamore Middle School Counselor, Molly Hudgens
  • Google Imminent Threat Manager, Adam Calabro
  • Google Senior Security Counsel, Michael Maffei
  • Federal Bureau of Investigation
  • Retired NASA astronaut and United States Navy Seal Capt. Chris Cassidy

Conference breakout sessions also tackle several crucial topics in health, homeland security, emergency management, cyber security, and much more. We invite school officials from across the state to attend a free one-day training on Wednesday, May 8, with sessions on current trends in sextortion, active shooter, reunification, and crisis recovery. This training qualifies for Continued Education Credits.

The GLHSTCE is hosted in partnership between the Michigan State Police Emergency Management and Homeland Security Division, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services.
