About
The Mid-Year Law Enforcement Fatality Report is produced by the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund and provides a look at trending statistics for officer fatalities. This report is in advance of the end-of-year report that is released every January. The report examines line-of-duty deaths, including firearms-related fatalities, traffic-related fatalities, and other causes and fatalities. The preliminary report will show a significant decrease in the number of fallen officer fatalities, comparing the first half of 2025 versus the first half of 2024.
